When we decided to expand our studio and move into next door, we underwent months of extensive building work, engulfing our creative space in clouds of dust and ear-splitting noise. We sought a meditative moment amidst the turmoil by asking the builders to sit for their portraits. The final images are impossible constructions of our own, layering our photographic craft on that of the workmen.
