Press for Progress – Breaking through the glass wall

We wanted to do something for International Women’s Day 2018.

With a rough plan and loads of enthusiasm from a small nearly all female team (and Paul), we opened our doors to the women of Brighton to come and have their portrait taken with the campaign theme of #pressforprogress.

What a fabulous and inspiring bunch of women we had through the doors. All with their stories to tell of strong women who had inspired them – their mums, grandmothers and daughters as well as the more famous. We had a colourful collection of females from 12 days old Kora to the amazing Shelia at 71.

The idea took on a momentum all of its own with many pushing themselves to do it even though nervous of having their photograph taken. However, after having their hair & makeup done, they left feeling buoyant and with a little extra skip in their step.

It was a very special day and a lot of fun.
